The Noteable Recyclists: STEM Notepads

Paper in landfills make a big contribution to the wastefulness of our environment. Paper is the largest waste product in landfills today. Each landfill in the world is made up of approximately 32 percent of paper. That's a lot of paper. About 34 million tons of paper is dumped into lanfills every year. Instead of going to recycling plants like paper should go to, people just carelessly throws it into a garbage bin. Overtime paper releases methane, a horrible greenhouse gas. This methane can hurt other plants and animals, and pollute the air that we breathe. This large amount of paper is due to the lack of education about recycling. People have very little knowledge about recycling and how it can benefit the environment. Another reason recycling isn't very popular is the rising price of utilizing it in school and work environments. Many of these places don't have the money to pay people for recycling, so they throw it away. The next time you use paper, recycle it, because you can change how we live in this world.
